Rob Everest
Hey Ya’ll! I have spent the years since college performing all over the world in every kind of production imaginable. Everything, from Opera to Southern Rock catches my attention. My study of Music Education & Performance at the University of Wisconsin was some of the best time I ever spent. It is where I development as an early musician. Like so many quality singers that come before me, I built my foundation on solid basics rooted in Classical training. In the years before I moved to Nashville, I spent time working on my craft in various different theatrical stage productions in Broadway and Opera styling, but my heart was always drawn back to my roots... Country Music!
I remember being a little guy, sitting with my Mom and sisters waiting for Hee-Haw and the Dukes of Hazard to come on the T.V. If we were lucky enough to get to stay up for the Barbra Mandrel Show, we were in heaven! Those were really the most formative moments of my life. I learned my love for music watching Buck Owens and the gang get crazy….and of course my first crush was Daisy Duke in them cut-off jeans!
A couple years back, I finally let myself answer the call, and moved to Nashville Tennessee. The culture of a city entirely devoted to the creation of great music is almost impossible to explain. If I tried, I would tell you that it is like being able to eat all your favorite foods…as much and often as you want….and never get fat! There is always something to learn that helps me expand my understanding of what “quality” music is. The personal journey I have enjoyed here has been amazing. As you read this I am in the last stages of recording my first Country album as an independent artist. Most of the cuts are of my own writing or co-writing. The addition of Arlos Smith (writer of, I Miss Maybery2002 cut by Rascal Flats) “Never Been The Same” (written by Arlos Smith & John Wiggins), really gets me excited! As well as a the Bonus track, “Broken Mirror” Written by hit song writers Tom Wurth, Bart Butler, and Ira Walker.
After having opened for bands like Boston, The Ink Spots, The U-pers….and having sung back up vocals for National acts like Poison and Judy Collins…who can say what comes next? I am entering a new phase of my music career…one where I am my own man…a Solo Artist. I am excited to see where it all ends up….
Oh yah…and I really hope you love my new music. Here’s to you! Without you…none of it happens!
