Giving @ Work
VETS ROCK participates in employee giving campaigns in corporate, state, and municipal workplaces throughout the country. If VETS ROCK is not currently on the giving list at your company or office, please speak to the company owners or CEO to get us added to the list. Your company's employees can raise funding for VETS ROCK through a variety of ways which include:
1) Company "Casual Days" where the company chooses a day of the week (or week of the month) that employee may come to work dressed in casual attire (based on company standards). For each employee who wants to dress casually for work, they would make a payment or donation of $3.00 to $5.00 per person, per day that they are wearing casual attire at work. At the end of the month, the company can then send the money raised to VETS ROCK or the company can MATCH the money raised and then send it to VETS ROCK as a donation from the company and it's employees.
2) Company sponsored Car Washes where company employees set up in the company's parking lot or at another location in the community and hold a car wash to raise money for VETS ROCK. Typically, donors would give $5.00 for a car to be washed and $10.00 for a truck or van. ( up to $25.00 for very large vehicles or boats). This can be done once a week in a particular month or just on a single day. The company can then send the money raised to VETS ROCK or the company can MATCH the money raised and then send it to VETS ROCK as a donation from the company and it's employees.
3) Company sponsored "Casino Days" where the company can host a "casino" event at the office where employees can donate (or "buy in") to get chips and play various card games such as Texas Hold 'Em, Black Jack & Poker. Employees can play other games such as Craps, or Roulette as well. At the end of the "casino days" event, each employee may "cash in" their winnings for various prizes obtained by the company such as iPods, Gift Certificates and so on. OR the employees can choose to "cash in" their winnings as an additional donation to VETS ROCK. The company can then send the money raised to VETS ROCK or the company can MATCH the money raised and then send it to VETS ROCK as a donation from the company and it's employees.
4) Company Bake Sales are another great fundraising event that can be done at the workplace. Employees can bake their favorite dish such as cakes, brownies, cup cakes, rice krispie bars and so on. Then sell these treats to employees at work for anywhere between $1.00 and $5.00 per treat. This can go on for a single day or for a week or even run throughout an entire month at the office. The company can then send the money raised to VETS ROCK or the company can MATCH the money raised and then send it to VETS ROCK as a donation from the company and it's employees.
